Disclaimer: I am a vegetarian. With that being said I really love the sides! I will say that the menu is extensive and the fish dishes looked yummy! I really love the polenta and that's what keeps me coming back. I usually get a couple sides to go with it. The sides are seasonal which I like. I was super happy to learn they have Fieldworks beer on tap! That is my favorite brewery and I always love when places have local brewing companies. Cute outside area and great location!

Great experience overall. From the service and drinks to the mouth watering seafood, it was excellent. Ordered the chowder and crab cake to start. Chowder was delicious and the crab cake was packed with crab. Both were a great start to the meal and are highly recommended. Moved on to the halibut for the entrée and it was better than I'd hoped. Fresh, flaky and perfectly cooked sitting on top of a bed of sinfully good whipped potatoes. If you're looking for a great example of seafood, at a reasonable price even, Yankee Pier needs to be on your radar ASAP.

Last night after our meal I ordered clam chowder to go I forgot it and did not think about it until later. When I called they said just come by tomorrow and they will fill my order again Thank you Theresa ! What great customer service. This place really deserves 5 stars. We had a light dinner of clam chowder at. Assortment of oysters A great meal!! Server was attentive and brought the

Stopped in this Sat for some oysters & wine and had a pretty good experience. Give overall 3.75 stars. Walked in with no reservation and luckily the host had a table for us. We were seated promptly and a table with a view. Our waitress was super! Big smile and welcoming, good service overall. She forgot about our bread and butter but that's ok. Upon scanning the menu, we ordered half dozen Shigoku Oysters and loved it! Not fishy, little fatty, and fresh. Also ordered the caesars salad and added Avacado, the salad was meh, had lots of cheese and barely any dressing. And a glass of Bernardus Sav Blanc was crisp and perfect with the food. We decided to not order the main entree, there were a few options, we were considering the whole dungeon crab, however the prices seemed higher than a few spots I've been to. Overall good experience, I'll be back for more oysters!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Lafayette. The food, service, ambiance, and overall dining experience is top notch as in Excellent! If you love seafood this is the place. Once they run out of fresh seafood, your out of the Creek. We always order fish and gotta try the clam chowder.. our sever Sean is awesome everytime, he will not disappoint. We must admit we are truly regulars and we adore every minute of it..... A must if your in Lafayette.....

I started a new job. I now live and work in Lafayette. Time to treat myself to some seafood. Can't believe I hadn't tried this place yet. Better late than never. Food: The menu is quite extensive and appeals to most types of eaters - seafood, meat, veggie. I had to try a cup of the clam chowder with bacon (mmm....bacon). I asked our server what they were known for and she was good at recommending complimentary dishes to go with the clam chowder. Crusty bread and butter are complimentary. Cup of Clam Chowder was enjoyable. It had pieces of bacon. Who wouldn't love that? Crab Louie salad was artistically put together and made a gorgeous presentation. The butter lettuce leaves were stacked, louie dressing and chopped up egg, lots of crab and 1/2 an avocado. I rotated that pretty plate several times in admiration. It tasted as good as it looked! The cup of soup already in my tummy and I couldn't finish the salad because I was full. I never thought I would be satisfied with soup and salad for lunch. Ambiance: The indoor decor is just lovely with a slight coastal theme. The restaurant smelled delicious and not like old seafood like in other establishments. Service: Our server was friendly. I would recommend this restaurant for seafood food lovers in the area. Great place for ladies to do a higher end lunch or for couples on a romantic evening. I thought the price point was fair given the food quality, service, ambiance, etc.

Alright, I'll bump this up to 3 1/2 stars. This time around, I ordered the Manila clams in linguine for the main course. The dish, overall, was a bit bland for my taste, even with the basil and garlic. I think the most flavorful thing on that plate was the toasted garlic bread. Even my parent's fried fish had a strange, bitter aftertaste to it. The entrees are not very memorable, but the seafood appetizers we ordered were fresh and delicious. We ordered the littleneck clams, Fanny Bay oysters, and Kusshi oysters. Lowest price for oysters was $18 for half a dozen, so a bit pricy. Tasted just as described on the menu. The Fanny Bay oysters has a briny taste that tastes like it came straight out of the ocean. The Kusshi osyters had that nice meaty taste. The staff was really good about clearing our old plates out of the way before each course. They even split my parent's entree onto two separate plates ahead of time, which I thought was very thoughtful of them. I like how each of the tabletops contains a different part of a map of the Bay Area. I also like how they have an open kitchen area. In summary, great service, entertaining decor, and fresh seafood appetizers!
